Nude hiking is healthy, relaxing and fun. It’s a great experience of freedom. Nothing between you and nature. Just relax and become one with the environment. All you need is a backpack for essential supplies, some hiking boots or decent tennis shoes, and some suntan lotion. Finding a place to hike nude may take a bit of work, but chances are you’ll find something not too far from your home. |

Many nudist resorts, particularly in rural areas, offer plenty of open space for a nude hike. Many state and national parks or forests have remote areas where you can enjoy nude hiking without risk of offending anyone. And since many people still don’t appreciate nude recreation, we encourage you to be careful and considerate when choosing where to hike naked. You can plan your hike depending on how much time you have, and your level of fitness. Getting in a couple of miles in a beautiful place can be done almost anytime. More enthusiastic hikers will plan overnight trips with a backpack, sleeping bag and gear to truly get away and enjoy nature. In Southern California, DeAnza Springs resort is adjacent to the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park with miles of hiking trails through the desert. Summers may be very (VERY) hot, but the rest of the year offers great temperatures to be naked, and the area is so remote you can hike naked for many miles. And then relax naked in the pool and Jacuzzi at DeAnza when you’re done. ![]() Nudist Resorts Glen Eden, Deer Park and Olive Dell in Southern California are adjacent to open areas and offer the chance for shorter nude hikes. Temptation Ranch (gay) in San Luis Obispo and Lupin Lodge in the San Francisco Bay Area also offer extensive areas where you can enjoy a nude hike, then return to enjoy the resort at the end of your hike. ![]() For hikes away from nude resorts, we highly recommend the hike from BowenRanch to Deep Creek Hot Springs is a little more than 2 miles and can almost always be done in the nude. Check out theThingsToDoNude video of a hike to Deep Creek on this page. It’s downhill and quick on the way to the springs, and uphill on the way back. And of course you can enjoy soaking in the hot springs for the day while you’re there. The desert areas around Palm Springs offer some great nude hiking opportunities. Joshua Tree, the Mecca Hills and Anza-Borrego all offer lots of open spaces for nude hiking.
