The annual Black's Beach Bares surf event scheduled for Sunday July 25 2010 was great!. There are some great prizes this year including full weekends at Glen Eden Sun Club with resort passes and accommodations in a park model trailer.

There's always a great crowd of men and women surfers and boogie boarders competing in warm ocean water. We can't predict what the waves will be like, but the fun and smiles are always big.

In addition to the surf event there's a bbq, frisbee, volleyball and good company. Get out of your swim suit and into the water and get ready!

Directions to Black's Beach

From the north, take Interstate 5 to Gennessee Avenue near La Jolla. Turn right and go about a mile to North Torrey Pines. Turn left and go to Torrey Pines Scenic Drive. Turn right and go to the end. You can park on the street (limited parking) or in a huge dirt lot. The trail is near the cliffs, on the left side. Remember it's a dirt trail, steep with lots of steps. Wear good shoes and be careful.
